Job description
As a Field Application Engineer for Digital Security Solutions you will support our customers during the evaluation and development of their systems, working closely with cross-functional teams. You will have the opportunity to work and provide creative ideas and solutions that will make a lasting difference in the Chip Card industry.
In your new role you will:
Be responsible for the technical support for Java Card based solutions to secure design-ins/wins at our customers.
Proactively place Infineon solutions at our customers and provide technical support during product launch - from concept to design.
Be responsible for the technical communication to partners in the Smart Card Ecosystem.
Support in customer relations, in close collaboration with other internal business partners such as: Sales, Business Development, Regional Marketing and Product Experts.
Organize and conduct technical training for other FAEs, customers and distribution partners (e.g. as webinar, video or on-site).
Work with internal teams to review technical documentation and Go-To-Market material.
Provide regular feedback from the customer to interfaces within the regional and global organization to improve our products and system offering.
Your Profile
While you are able to work independently you are also a good team player that can easily cooperate with others, trusting and respecting each one’s different points of view. You have a sense for today’s trends and therefore can recognize improvement opportunities for your area. You are quality oriented and remain focused on solutions, even when under pressure and complex situations.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
A degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
At least 3+ years of working experience, ideally in an Application Engineering field or linked to Payment / Identity/ Security Application area.
Knowledge of Payment schemes and Regulations standards at EU level (EMV, eIDAS QSCD list, etc.).
First-hand experience in security development of O.S. and/or microcontrollers.
First-hand experience in embedded Software, Java development for Smart Cards or Java Card personalization would be a plus.
A passion for security and enthusiasm to make our networked world more secure.
Fluent in English.
Occasional willingness to travel (mainly EMEA).
