JSC "NIIEM" is one of the leading Russian enterprises providing development and production of special polymeric materials for electronics and other industries.

The Research Institute of Electronic Materials (NIIEM) was organized in 1959 in accordance with the Decree of the Central Committee of the CPSU and the Council of Ministers of the USSR. The main task of the institute was the development and organization of the production of polymeric materials for the electronic and defense industries. The most important areas of research work of that time: materials for the production of semiconductor devices and integrated circuits, printed circuit boards and flexible printed cables, radio components, film capacitors and others.

The high technical level of the developed special polymeric materials and the presence of its own production base have allowed the enterprise to master the production of more than 350 grades of materials over the years.

Now the polymeric materials developed and produced by the Institute are widely used not only in electronics, optoelectronics, computer, television and radio engineering, but also in various fields of aviation, rocket and space, automotive, printing and a number of other industries.

The main base of the institute is scientific and technical achievements acquired over a long history (author's certificates, patents), technological, design documentation, a large accumulated information fund, the availability of technological and instrumentation equipment, personal experience of the institute's specialists in creating high-quality special polymeric materials .

Organosilicon and epoxy compounds (including those with a low content of ionic impurities, heat-conducting, heat-resistant, self-extinguishing, optically transparent, etc.) for protecting PCBs and ICs, including microwave semiconductor devices, used in modern production of electronic components , unified units and blocks of radio-electronic equipment, etc.
Silicone and polyarylate-epoxy varnishes (including electrical insulating, heat-resistant, thermo-frost-resistant, cryogenic-resistant, etc.).
Epoxy press materials.
Adhesives (current and heat-conducting, optically transparent, structural, etc.).
Lacofoil dielectrics.
Flexible foil dielectrics based on polyethylene terephthalate.
Polyethylene terephthalate-based metal-polymer punch tape.
Photopolymerizable materials (liquid, pasty).
Enamels protective thermosetting.
Film materials (polyarylsulfone films, special-purpose films made of HDPE and LDPE).
Adhesive film (polyethylene terephthalate and polyimide) materials (with thermoplastic and thermosetting adhesives).
On the basis of the materials developed by our enterprise, the production of film electric heaters was mastered for the first time in the country.
Since 2017, NIIEM has been transformed into JSC NIIEM.

JSC "NIIEM" is part of the holding JSC "Ruselectronics", which is an integrated structure of the State Corporation "Rostec".

The following tasks are defined as priorities for the activities of JSC "NIIEM":

development and mastering the production of new grades of polymeric materials, including within  the framework of federal targeted programs;
improvement of technological production of manufactured materials;
production of polymer materials in accordance with demand.
