Automation and mask dataprep engineer with experience in scripting and test design methodologies to support imec Tapeout automation, DFM and mask R&D activities across various fields including advanced logic, memory, 3D and Photonics.

What you will do
As automation and mask dataprep R&D Engineer

You will work on imec test-site tape out activities including floor planning, layout, data preparation, mask orders and follow up of mask status and deliveries. 
You will explore novel DFM methodologies working closely with various process teams (Design, ETCH, CMP, Integration) for cutting edge technology nodes (e.g.
Logic N3 and beyond, advanced Memory, Photonics, Biotechnology and etc. ..)
You will own various development/enablement projects such as data prep automation techniques using computational technology.
You will have opportunity to carry out research and develop in design, DFM, data preparation and other areas. 
You will closely interact with design, OPC, patterning and integration teams within imec as well as various external suppliers such as EDAs and mask shops.
You will join the TMA (Tapeout, masks and automation) team.

Who you are
You hold a PhD in Physics or Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or you hold a master’s degree in one of these disciplines with preferably some relevant industry experience. 
You have excellent programming skills and your experience with Unix or Linux environments (Perl, TCL, ...)
We consider knowledge of following expertise as a plus: 
DFM (dummy fill)
Layout design
OPC 
Semiconductor and microelectronics process flows 
Cadence Virtuoso, Mentor Calibre, Mentor SmartFill, Synopsys CATS
Mask design flow, layout, floor planning, DRC/MRC verification
Photolithography process step in semiconductor manufacturing flow
