Job description:

MRF is seeking Field Service Engineer for our main office in Allenstown, NH, and travel to customer sites. The MRF furnaces are highly engineered pieces of equipment that require a talented individual to collaborate closely with the customer on commissioning the equipment, performing start-up, as well as maintenance and troubleshooting. This individual will also work with our manufacturing and engineering teams to perform factory testing at the MRF facility prior to the shipment of the equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 2-5 years of related work experience.

• Excellent mechanical, electrical and pneumatic assembly skills.

• Ability to perform testing on complex systems.

• Familiarity with industrial PLCs and HMIs.

• Able to set up and test controls instrumentation.

• Knowledge of industry standards (NFPA, NEC).

• Able to understand, program, and test PID control loops.

• Have a solid understanding of and ability to work with and safely test VAC and DC electrical circuits.

• Able to read and understand blueprints, wiring diagrams, and device datasheets.

• Able to understand Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems and related control components.

• Ability to use testing and metering devices.

• Proficient with Windows operating systems and MS Office software.

• Professional demeanor with good written and oral communication skills.

• Good working in a team as well as independently.

• Solid work ethic.

• Travel to customer sites – 50%-75%.

Duties and responsibilities

• Supervise installation of MRF furnaces' final connections, including mechanical and electrical utilities.

• Perform final assembly of electrical, mechanical, water, vacuum, process gas, and pneumatic connections to ensure the system meets performance specifications.

• Train customer operators and engineers on the correct use of furnace and control equipment.

• Assist with preliminary startup and commissioning testing of furnaces at MRF’s production facility to ensure product performance prior to shipment.

• Conduct both factory acceptance testing (FAT) locally and site acceptance testing (SAT) at the customer’s facility.

• Work with factory engineering to make field modifications to equipment as necessary.

• Troubleshoot equipment in the field to diagnose problems and make any repairs or changes as needed to get system operational.

• Document testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.

• Keep abreast of changes in engineering technology.
