Hyperion Technologies is considering a significant investment in a semiconductor manufacturing plant in Peoria, with detailed plans announced on its website. The proposed facility, spanning 600,000 square feet, aims to produce high-density interconnect substrates, essential for semiconductor chip functionality.

This project has the potential to generate up to 1,500 permanent jobs and approximately 4,500 construction jobs, contributing an estimated $6.6 billion to the economic output of the Phoenix region over the next decade. Hyperion's initiative aligns with other major investments in the area, including Amkor Technology Inc.’s $2 billion semiconductor packaging plant nearby and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.’s $65 billion facility in north Phoenix.

The company aims to commence construction in the latter half of 2025, with substantial completion anticipated by late 2026. This move marks an important step in bolstering the semiconductor industry in Arizona. If realized, Hyperion's plant will further solidify the state's position in the tech manufacturing landscape.
