Thales Alenia Space has joined forces with French SME Synergie Cad to establish a line of integrated circuits in the clean rooms of its Toulouse facility. With an investment of 7.2 million euros, this initiative aims to cater to the demands of the new space industry and startups in various sectors.

The collaboration between Thales Alenia Space and Synergie Cad seeks to address the dominance of the Asian market in embedded electronics, ensuring a more diverse supply chain and increased flexibility. Thales Alenia Space's involvement in the partnership has resulted in the acquisition of a line of SIP (Systems in Packaging) integrated circuits, known as SiPack. The project includes a contribution of 3.2 million euros from Thales Alenia Space, as well as the allocation of 300 m² of clean rooms at its Toulouse site and the procurement of specialized machinery.
