Saras Micro Devices, a leading provider of advanced power performance solutions using integrated packaging design, has announced the opening of its new headquarters and cutting-edge manufacturing facility in Chandler, Arizona. This strategic move aligns with Saras' vision to support its growth in high-performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) sectors, while taking advantage of the expanding semiconductor ecosystem in the region. The company will be relocating its headquarters from Atlanta, Georgia to Chandler, Arizona, while its Research & Development Center will remain in Atlanta.

The decision to establish a new manufacturing center in Arizona reflects Saras' long-term strategy to align with its customers and contribute to the advancement of the U.S. semiconductor industry. Ron Huemoeller, CEO of Saras Micro Devices, emphasized that this move represents a deliberate effort to support the company's mission to become an integral part of Arizona's growing technology ecosystem and to contribute to the domestic semiconductor industry in the United States.

The new manufacturing facility represents a substantial investment of over $50 million and is located at 3200 W. Germann Road in Chandler. Initially spanning 33,000 sq. ft., the facility includes clean room, manufacturing, and administrative space. Saras plans to employ approximately 50 people in the near term, primarily consisting of engineering talent. By the end of 2025, both the facility and staff are expected to undergo significant expansion, with projections indicating an increase to 43,000 sq. ft., including a larger 13,000-sq.-ft. clean room.

The proximity of the new headquarters to key semiconductor ecosystem partners, combined with Arizona's cost-effective operations and focus on talent development, provides Saras with a unique advantage to capitalize on strategic opportunities while contributing to a robust domestic semiconductor industry.

Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke expressed enthusiasm about the addition of Saras Micro Devices to the community, highlighting the city's appeal to technology headquarters due to its central location, exceptional educational system, and pro-business environment. The Greater Phoenix Economic Council President & CEO, Chris Camacho, noted that Saras' relocation to Chandler will enhance the region's semiconductor cluster and technological competitiveness, while Sandra Watson, president and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority, emphasized the significance of the new headquarters in advancing semiconductor innovation and contributing to Arizona's vibrant technology ecosystem.

The relocation of Saras Micro Devices' headquarters and the establishment of its new manufacturing facility in Chandler, Arizona, underscores the company's commitment to addressing current market needs, developing cutting-edge technology, and contributing to the growth of the semiconductor industry while strengthening its position as a prominent player in the sector.
