Color filters used in products such as flat panel TVs, computer systems and smartphones are essential components for reproducing color images in flat panel displays (FPDs).

What Is a Color Filter?
Color filters are produced by exposing a glass substrate evenly coated with color resist ink comprised of pigments from the three primary colors—red, green and blue (RGB)—and formed into a pattern. Once the light from the backlight source undergoes gradation control in the liquid crystal layer, it is converted into RGB light with varying intensity levels by passing through this RGB filter and assembled as display pixels. Liquid crystals in themselves only facilitate the passing or hampering of light from the backlight source and do not emit light or process color. As such, the color filter is the most important component for displaying color images.

Transparent Photo Resist Coatings for FPDs LIOCURE Series
Product Overview
The LIOCURE series of transparent, photosensitive UV-curable coatings offer insulation protection and optical control for touchscreen displays. The LIOCURE series is a negative color resist developed by leveraging the Toyo Ink Group’s unique resin synthesis technology. It exhibits excellent UV curing and imaging properties during the post-exposure and development phases and offers excellent adhesion to glass and materials for circuit design.
In addition, the refractive index can be adjusted by integrating the treated film with a Toyo Ink dispersed material. When combined with different components, LIOCURE can be used in optical control.

Product Overview
This high refraction coating is mainly used in FPD and touch panel in order to avoid light reflection. TYS series has AS function, while TYZ series has higher refraction. Both can meet customers’ needs for adjusting all kinds of refractions without compromising physical properties of other materials.

High refraction type of hard coating, mainly used in FPD and touch panels for the purpose of avoiding refraction (multi-layer AR). TYZ series has high refraction features and does not decrease physical properties of other materials, resulting in wider range of adjustable refraction.
Application
This UV curing hard coating is developed for plastic base materials.
Can be processed into coating film with high transmittance and high refraction.

Anti-fingerprint hard coating EFC200 series
Product Overview
Based on the basic features of high transparency hard coating (such as transparency and high mechanical intensity), with the addition of lipophilic anti-fingerprint concept, this series is suitable for all kinds of plastic materials. The characteristics of this hard coating are: not easy to attach, with no obvious fingerprints and easy-to-wipe fingerprints.
