Taiwan Sintered Metals ( TSM ) was founded in Tu-Cheng Industrial Dist. in 1991. Molybdenum slug that has low co-efficient of thermal expansion, high melting point, good thermal and electrical conductivity, was the main product of TSM initially used in semiconductor packaging. TSM is the only one professional manufacturer producing Molybdenum slug in Taiwan.
TSM introduced Metal Injection Molding ( MIM ) technology in 1995, manufacturing complex geometry and small metal parts. The MIM plant was moved to Kuan-Yin Industrial Dist. in Taoyuan. It is now the largest-scale professional MIM plant in Taiwan.
TSM introduced the advanced technology and stamping production equipment from Japan in 1996, developing copper-based lead frame for use in semicondutorpackaging, and set up Tianjin plant in China to provide better service to its local customers.
In 2004, TSM used effectively the advantages of enterprise resource integration to develop high-brightness LED Insert Molding products to supply LED market demand.
