ZS-Handling GmbH is an independent company that develops systems and devices for industrial handling based on Ultrasonic Suspension Technology. We offer products for contactless gripping, conveying, loading and unloading, inspection, sorting and separating of workpieces. Our scope of application includes battery / fuel cells, foils, glass, lenses, medical technology, packaging, and wafers & chips.
We operate internationally and sell our contactless products worldwide. Our systems are developed and produced in Regensburg, Bavaria.
ZS-Handling GmbH was founded in Regensburg in 2006 by Dr.-Ing. Michael Schilp and Dr.-Ing. Josef Zimmermann with the patented technology of the Ultrasonic Suspension. In the following years, we entered the markets in China, Taiwan and Korea. Since 2014 ZS-Handling manufactures its first series systems. In the field of medical technology, we offer our special contactless ultrasonic gripper for intraocular lenses since 2019.
ZS-Handling is a company for special machine constructions, that offers standard serial products, as well as individually customized solutions.
In principle we can offer handling solutions up to ISO1, though this depends strongly on the kind of application. Typically, the ultrasonic bearing technology is used in clean-room classes from ISO5 or better.

Due to the wide range of possible applications of ultrasound technology, we can offer non-contact end-effectors for various materials and sizes. Damage such as micro-scratches and micro-cracks or contamination of the component can be avoided. In combination with negative pressure, gripping from above is possible even at high accelerations.
Side stops for centering are not needed for small parts (up to ca. 15x15 mm), as these are self-centering on the adapted gripper tip.
Films are kept flat because the ultrasound works evenly over the entire gripper surface.
Thanks to our modular design, we can also combine the grippers with other products or offer complete cells/ systems.
